Safety instructions for the evoVIU

This chapter contains safety instructions for using the camera.

Intended use

This product from evopro systems engineering AG (hereinafter referred to as evopro) is to be used in accordance with the following operating principle:

Smart- and AI-Cloudkamera

The evoVIU Smart Camera can be used in the industrial sector for reading and processing a wide range of features. These include the following:

Presence check
Character recognition (OCR)
Surface inspection
Bar and QR code
Crack detection
Network camera / cloud camera

The smart camera can currently be used in the following sectors:

Special machine construction
Logistics industry
Automotive industry
Food industry
Packaging industry
Wood industry
Paper industry
Electronics industry
Research & Universities

Non-intended use

No safety components in accordance with Directive 2006/42 EC (Machinery Directive)
Not suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
The product may only be used with the accessories supplied or with accessories approved by evopro. External lighting connected to the Docker interface and located within the performance characteristics are excluded from this rule.

Improper use can lead to dangerous situations. Note: The information on intended use must be observed.

Qualification of staff

Suitable technical training is a prerequisite!
Electrotechnical instruction in the company is necessary!
The specialist personnel involved in operation require (permanent) access to the operating instructions. Access via a browser is possible at any time under Camera-IP/docs.

Modification of products

Risk of personal injury or damage to property due to modification of the product!

Damage to personnel and equipment is possible. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the CE marking and the warranty. Note: Modification of this version is not permitted without the written consent of evopro!

The following instructions must be observed throughout the service life of the product.

These instructions are part of the product and must be kept for the entire service life of the product.

The operating instructions must be read carefully before using the product.
The smart camera must be protected against contamination and mechanical impact to the best of your ability.
