The VIU2 camera is our advanced IoT edge camera in the evoVIU portfolio, offering numerous improvements and added value compared to previous versions. It was specifically designed for demanding industrial image processing and automation tasks and impresses with its performance, flexibility, and ease of integration – especially in complex production and IoT environments.
Integrated PoE (Power over Ethernet)
Thanks to PoE support, power supply and data transmission are achieved via a single Ethernet cable, reducing installation effort and costs and offering flexible mounting options even in hard-to-reach locations. Additionally, a trigger sensor can be powered via the PoE output.
High reliability and robust design
With IP67 protection, the VIU2 is designed for use in demanding industrial environments and withstands dust, moisture and other adverse conditions.
High-performance hardware platform
The camera features a modern CPU and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that directly accelerates complex image processing and AI algorithms on-device. This enables the efficient execution of demanding applications such as object recognition or AI-supported analysis.
Flexible sensor and lens options
The VIU2 supports various high-resolution image sensors with global shutter, ensuring distortion-free images and precise results, especially with fast movements. Furthermore, the C-mount connection allows for a free selection and fine-tuning of lenses depending on the application.
Enhanced connectivity
In addition to PoE, a high-performance network interface (Gigabit Ethernet) is available, supporting high data rates and stable communication – ideal for cloud or IoT connections.
